Enroll in the Grand Youth Summer Theatre Camps, where participants will build skills, improve confidence, and make new friends, all while having a blast exploring, learning and celebrating through theatre! Camps will include fun and exciting activities for students of all theatrical backgrounds and skill levels (no prior training required). Camp instruction will be provided by professionals with performance experience in live theatre, TV and film, including Disney, Sundance, The Eccles, The Grand Theatre, Pioneer Theatre, Hale Centre Theatre, and more.

With multiple camps covering specific and broad topics, there’s an option for everyone:


SPECIALTY CAMPS (Ages Vary By Camp)

These camps let you explore specific theatrical skills and topics in a fun and engaging 4 -day session. Please sign up for only ONE specialty camp, as they run concurrently. Students will be grouped by age during the camp.

Early registration discount fee of $115 for the specialty camp through Friday, April 19, after which registration fee is $130. Registration will also include a small processing fee by Eventbrite.

JUNE 10-13 (Morning Session 9:30 - 11-30 AM)

Choose from:

  • IMPROV CAMP (Ages 6-18) Explore the art of improv in this dynamic class. Learn how to become more comfortable and spontaneous on stage as you let your imagination go. Campers will practice improvisation every day, learning to think outside the box and adapt new ways of creating scene work.
  • MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE (Ages 6-18) Gives students experience in musical theatre dance technique, emphasizing locomotor skills and movement expression. Introduces elements of dance, time, space, and energy. Explores dance and movement expression and musical theatre basics. Explores the different ways in which storytelling is expressed through dance and movement.
  • STAGE COMBAT (Ages 12-18)- This summer camp provides opportunities to explore and develop important skills in stage combat. Focusing on accuracy, safety, and the fundamental techniques needed to protect the actor, their instrument and their scene partner when engaging in dramatic physical encounters and combat.
  • KLOUNS CAMP (Ages 6-18) Explore acting in a way you never have before! One of our favorites! In this innovative camp that focuses on acting fundamentals students will learn to connect with peers, take risks, build emotional intelligence, and discover joy through play and the absurd.


MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE CAMPS (ages 6-18)

In this musical based camp students will hone their performance abilities through engaging activities centered around fun that includes singing, music, dance, stage movement, and creating characters in a performance setting! Students will grow in confidence exploring new fundamentals or expanding on their preexisting knowledge of musical theatre. Classes will vary from day to day, covering a wide range of topics. Students will be grouped by age first day of camp.

Each camp has both a morning (9:30 – 11:30 AM) and afternoon (12:00 - 2:00 PM) session - please sign up for only one session. Performance camps will end with a student performance on Thursday evening of each week.

TECHNICAL CAMP (ages 15-18)

Participants interested in technical theatre will explore Lighting Design, Sound Design and Engineering, Costume Design, Set Design, Scenic Painting, and Stage Management. Participants will apply these skills while managing the technical aspects of a student performance during the evening of Thursday, July 18.

The technical camp will be held over two weeks (M-TH each week) from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.

Early registration discount fee of $230 for the Technical camp through Friday, April 19, after which registration fee is $260. Registration will also include a small processing fee by Eventbrite.

JULY 8-11 & 15-18 (Afternoon Session)


PARKING: If you're driving to the camp, you must purchase a parking pass for the specific camp you're attending (SPECIALTY/PERFORMANCE camp parking passes cover one week and TECHNICAL camp parking passes cover two weeks). Participants in the camps can be dropped off and picked up without purchasing a parking pass.

An additional participation waiver requiring parental/guardian approval will be distributed to workshop participants before the camp begins.
